Author Archives: Sarah Radway
Sarah is a computer science PhD candidate at Harvard SEAS. She is a NSF Graduate Research Fellow and was awarded a Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Prize Fellowship. Her research interests are in the systems security and privacy space—specifically, her work evaluates how emerging technologies impact regulatory frameworks, and how more effective compliance mechanisms can be designed by building at the systems level.
At the Berkman Klein Center (BKC), Sarah leads a working group focused on policy red teaming, exploring how the principles of cybersecurity red teaming can be applied to draft and maintain stronger law and policy. Sarah also works with the Applied Social Media Lab at BKC on Permissions Explorer, investigating privacy harms associated with the modern smartphone permissions system in the era of large language models.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring both the outdoors and the cosmos—having worked at NASA during her undergraduate years, she now volunteers at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, just across the street from BKC.
